The 5th National Health Data and Digital Health Week concluded after five days of engaging sessions, demonstrations, panel discussions, and recognition activities highlighting Ethiopia’s continued progress in digital health and data use.

The week showcased important advancements in strengthening health information systems and promoting evidence-based decision-making across different levels of the health system. A key highlight was the recognition of model woredas demonstrating strong implementation of data systems at the local level.

Notably, 9 out of the 11 nationally recognized model woredas supported through the CBMP project were acknowledged during the event. This achievement reflects the strong collaboration between universities and the health system in advancing digital health implementation at woreda and facility levels.

The event reaffirmed that Ethiopia’s digital health transformation is actively progressing, driven by coordinated leadership, institutional collaboration, technical innovation, and strategic investment.

We extend our gratitude to all organizers, partners, and contributors who made this important week a success.

The week highlighted the continued national commitment to building a stronger, data-driven health system in Ethiopia.
