The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science (CDHi) at the University of Gondar and USAID Digital Health Activity (DHA), hosted a webinar on October 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM EAT. The event focused on sharing Ethiopiaβs experience in digital health interoperability.
The webinar provided key insights into the interoperability of DHIS2-MFR and EMR-eAPTS systems, sharing practical experiences in integrating these platforms. Recommendations for adopting the World Health Organization (WHO) Smart Guidelines and Digital Adaptation Kits were also discussed to further strengthen Ethiopiaβs digital health systems. Additionally, the session emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration through the Ethiopian Digital Health Interoperability Network (EDHIN): A Community of Practice to drive innovation and knowledge sharing.
Experts such as Mr. Tewodros Kersie, Mr. Bruhtesfa Abere, Dr. Derrick Muneene, Mr. Abenezer Mekete, and Mr. Redet Getachew shared valuable insights, creating an interactive environment for healthcare professionals, policymakers, IT specialists, and digital health innovators.
