𝐋𝐈𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐓 𝟐.𝟎 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝
We are excited to announce the launch of LIHIKET 2.0 Postdoctoral Program under the CBMP partnership with the first in person workshop entitled “𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡: 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩”.
𝐋𝐢𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝟐.𝟎 is a two year collaborative project between the six CBMP – Capacity Building and Mentorship Program in Ethiopia (CBMP) Universities, Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London (LSHTM). It builds on previous collaborative capacity strengthening projects and is a significant step forward in advancing implementation research, focusing on routine data quality and utilization, conduct secondary analysis of large data sets and provide coaching and mentoring to a group of competitively selected post doctoral fellows.
The Senior Project Director of CBMP partnership Prof. Binyam Tilahun, PhD,MPH,FIAHSI in his opening remarks said “𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐁𝐌𝐏, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐈𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐓 𝟐.𝟎 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐁𝐌𝐏 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡”. He also provided a presentation on the overall achievements and future plans of the CBMP partnership.
As part of the CBMP – Capacity Building and Mentorship Program in Ethiopia (CBMP) Partnership, these efforts aim to promote digitization, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making, while emphasizing gender inclusiveness. Together, we are committed to enhancing the effectiveness of routine data and improving health outcomes across Ethiopia. In addition to the four Postdoc fellows, cohort of early career researchers from CBMP researchers will be incapacitated on selected topics in the coming two years.
