Successful Completion of Empowering Digital Health through Advanced Interoperability Training
We are excited to announce the successful conclusion of the Advanced Interoperability Training, held from August 19 to 23, 2024. Organized by the CDHi- Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science at the University of Gondar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Digital Health Activity (DHA), and Jembi Health Systems, the training was designed to equip digital health developers with critical skills and knowledge, focusing on hands-on implementation of interoperability in digital health systems, such as EMR and eAPTS. Participants also gained practical experience using OpenHIM as a mediator and deepened their understanding of FHIR standards essential for interoperability.
This initiative represents a key milestone in enhancing the capacity of digital health experts within our Interoperability Academy, the Ministry, and its partners. We believe this will greatly contribute to the sustainable implementation of interoperability in Ethiopia’s health sector.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the organizers, facilitators, collaborators, and trainees who made this event a resounding success.
