The CDHi- Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science at the University of Gondar participated in the “SMART Guidelines/Digital Adaptation Kits (DAKs) Awareness Creation” workshop organized by the Ministry of Health (MoH), held from April 3–5 at Bishoftu.
During the workshop, the research and technical team from CDHI presented an overview of the WHO SMART Guidelines and Digital Adaptation Kits. They shared their experiences in adapting the HIV, Antenatal care (ANC) and Family planning DAKs to align with the Ethiopian National Guidelines and national registers. The team also demonstrated the integration of the ANC and Family Planning DAKs with electronic medical records (EMR), showcasing the implementation experience from the University of Gondar.
The event included a lively discussion among stakeholders on the future of digital health transformation in Ethiopia.
CDHI, University of Gondar, has been actively engaged in this initiative over the past two years and remains committed to collaborating with the Ministry of Health to further advance digital health solutions in the country.
