
𝐂𝐃𝐇𝐢 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐁𝐌𝐏 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
The CDHi- Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science at the University of Gondar is helping Maraki Health Center move into the digital age. As part of this effort, CDHi donated 10 computers and a server to support the health center’s digital services.
At the handover event, Professor Binyam Tilahun, PhD,MPH,FIAHSI, Founding Director of CDHi and Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at the University of Gondar, said that technology alone is not enough, digital transformation also requires a shift in mindset. He reassured everyone that University of Gondar is committed to supporting Gondar City’s journey toward a smarter and more connected healthcare system. He also shared that CDHi has prepared its server center to help the city administration with this transition, ensuring the success of digital services in local health centers.
To appreciate the contributions of the University of Gondar and other supporters, the Gondar City Administration Health Office hosted a recognition event.
During the ceremony, Deputy Mayor Mrs. Debrie Yehuala thanked the University of Gondar for playing a key role in improving healthcare through technology. She noted that this project aligns with the city’s smart city vision and encouraged university researchers to continue supporting digital health advancements.
Mr. Seyid Yeshaw, Head of the City Administration Health Office, emphasized that digitalizing health services will make patient care faster, reduce paperwork, and improve efficiency. He also recognized the dedication of Maraki Health Center’s staff, who are making this transition possible.
With this initiative, CDHi at the University of Gondar is once again proving its commitment to using technology to improve healthcare, starting in Gondar and reaching far beyond.
