About CDHI

The Center for Digital Health and Implementation Sciences (CDHI) is a Center of Excellence in Digital Health and Implementation Science established through a collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia and the University of Gondar. Founded in 2016 by Prof. Binyam Tilahun, the Center was built with a vision of establishing a local institution that develops, adapts, and evaluates innovative digital health technologies and evidence-based interventions in support of the Ministry's information revolution agenda. Over the past decade, CDHI has grown into a national and regional hub for digital health and implementation science, working with more than 40 partners worldwide and drawing on a multidisciplinary team of over 60 staff spanning health systems, digital health, implementation science, software development, public health, medicine, epidemiology, and data science.
