HIS Performance Review Meeting Assosa town

HIS Performance Review Meeting for the Benishangul-Gumuz region, organized by the University of Gondar led DDCF project in collaboration with the Benishangul Gumiz regional health bureau held in Asosa.

During our meeting, we had meaningful discussions about important topics related to healthcare in Assosa. We talked about the achievements and challenges of our Health Information System (HIS), celebrating the progress we’ve made in improving healthcare services while also acknowledging the obstacles we’ve faced. We focused on sharing best practices and lessons learned, which was really inspiring. It was great to hear from other professionals about the strategies that have worked well in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our HIS. These insights will definitely help us make further improvements in our healthcare system.  Another important topic we discussed was sustainability. We talked about the importance of ensuring that the improvements we make in our healthcare system are sustainable in the long term. By actively addressing sustainability issues, we can make sure that we continue to provide quality healthcare services in Asosa.  One highlight of the meeting was the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system at Asosa General Hospital. We had the chance to assess the progress we’ve made in digitizing and streamlining our healthcare processes. The EMR implementation will improve data management and enhance patient care outcomes. Looking ahead, we worked together to develop an action plan that will guide our efforts in further improving our HIS in Assosa. By setting specific objectives and strategies, we are committed to continuously enhancing our healthcare services and meeting the needs of our community
