I currently serve as a Data Analyst and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Expert at CDHi. My academic journey began with an MPH in Biostatistics from the University of Gondar; my MPH project focused on modelling acute clinical outcomes among diabetes patients. Before joining CDHi, I gained academic experience as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Haramaya University starting in 2019, where I taught and advised both MPH/MSc students. I have actively engaged in various public health studies, and I have published the results of this research in several reputable journals. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) since April 2022. My doctoral research is focused on utilizing carriage, surveillance data, as well as genomic approaches to inform meningococcal vaccine policy in Ethiopia.
