
CDHi Supports Maraki Health Center’s Full Transition to Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
The CDHi – Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science at the University of Gondar is pleased to announce the successful launch of a fully paperless Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system at Maraki Health Center. The system was officially launched on December 26, 2025, following comprehensive technical support from CDHi, including:
- Customization and configuration of an EMR system to fit the health center’s workflow
- Donation of 10 computers to strengthen EMR implementation
- System deployment and on-site implementation
- Continuous training and mentorship for health professionals
The launch event was attended by senior officials from the Amhara Regional Health Bureau, University of Gondar, Gondar City Admin Health Department, health center leaders, and invited guests.
Serving a community of over 107,000 people, Maraki Health Center’s digital transformation will enhance service efficiency, improve data quality, reduce paperwork, and support better Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) through timely and standardized health information.
This initiative reflects CDHi’s commitment to strengthening health systems through locally developed, sustainable digital health solutions.
