University of Gondar Hosts Data Collectors Training for National Data Quality Verification
The Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science (CDHi) at the University of Gondar, in collaboration with five national universities, is set to conduct a National Data Quality Verification Study. This large-scale assessment aims to evaluate the quality of health data across various regions of Ethiopia.
As part of this assessment, the University of Gondar is leading data collection activities in the Amhara region and selected areas of Benishangul-Gumuz. To ensure effective data gathering, a three-day training for data collectors was conducted from March 14 to 16, 2025, at the University of Gondar.
The training included a pretesting exercise carried out at selected health facilities in Gondar town, separate from the actual study sites. This exercise provided valuable feedback from data collectors and ensured a common understanding of the data collection tools before field deployment.
