๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ข๐ณ, ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ค๐ฉ 11, 2025 โ The University of Gondar‘s Comprehensive Specialized Hospital has been officially recognized as a Model Institution in the Information Revolution by the Federal Ministry of Health Ethiopia! This recognition highlights UoGโs leadership in HIS, EMR implementation, digital health transformation, and evidence-based care (EBC) policy integration.
The event was officially opened by Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn ๐ช๐น who emphasized the importance of digital transformation in healthcare. Dr. Aynishet Adane spoke about the Information Revolution, the current status of EMR implementation, and the vital role of evidence-based care in strengthening healthcare systems.

โข MoH Commitment & CBMP Success: The MoH reaffirmed its dedication to the countryโs digital health future, with CBMP – Capacity Building and Mentorship Program in Ethiopia playing a vital role in UoG CSHโs rapid progress.
โข EMR Update: Dr. Tesfahun Melese Yilma provided an update on the current GondarCares progress status and future plans.
โข Technology Handover: CDHi donated computers and tablets to support EMR expansion and enhance digital healthcare delivery.
โข Launch of EBC Policy: officially handed over the Evidence-Based Care policy guidelines to strengthen the hospitalโs decision-making process with data-driven insights.
โข Recognition: Special recognition was awarded to key contributors to UoGโs IR success, including the hospital, Prof. Binyam Tilahun, PhD,MPH,FIAHSI, CBMP, and Dr. Mequanint Melesse Bicha.
