From Data to Insight: Enhancing Analytical and Writing Skills of Young Researchers and Policy makers

Yesterday marked a significant milestone for CDHi- Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science in University of Gondar in building the research capacity of universities and the Ministry of Health with the launch of a young researchers mentorship program through the first workshop entitled “Data Analysis Training for Health Systems Researchers and CBMP University Staff.” This training being held from July 30 to August 4, 2024, is a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Health Sustaining the African Health initiative Community of Practice grant.
During our opening ceremony, we were honored to have esteemed speakers, Mr. Mesoud Mohammed, Strategic Affairs Executive Office, Ministry of Health Ethiopia/Statistics and Information Lead, and Dr. Binyam Tilahun, Vice President of the University of Gondar and CDHi- Director, sharing their insights on the importance of the program and their commitment to achieving its goals.
In this training, participants are expected to gain valuable insights on:
– Managing data from different sources
– Developing analysis plans
– Choosing appropriate statistical models
– Developing codes using Stata software and more
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our organizers and facilitators from CDHi , and to our esteemed trainees from all the CBMP universities: University of Gondar, Addis Ababa University, Jimma University, Haramaya University, Mekele university, and Hawassa University.
